Halfway Point

 I've passed the halfway point in the quilting of 'All Creatures Great & Small'.

Quilting Begun on 'All Creatures Great & Small'

 Quilting has begun on 'All Creatures Great & Small'.  The pantograph is called 'Bear, Moose, & Pines'.

'All Creatures Great & Small' Top Done

 'All Creatures Great & Small' quilt top is done.  It measures 95" x 96".  Second photo is a view of the side of the quilt.  Now to prepare the backing!

Ribbons for Quilts

Quilts that went to the Platte County Fair

This morning I picked up the quilts -- and their accompanying ribbons:

(I think the judge meant 'borders' [those around the animal pictures] rather than 'binding', since there's nothing particularly unique about the binding.)

 

Diamond Border

 The diamond border is on the 'All Creatures Great & Small' quilt.  Just two more narrow borders, and this quilt top will be done and ready to be quilted.

Log Cabin Border

 I got the Log Cabin border sewn onto grandson Nathanael's 'All Creatures Great & Small' quilt just before time for church this evening.  Two narrow borders and one wide border to go.  I hadn't really wanted to use that medium mottled green fabric; but my fabric order from Marshall Dry Goods hasn't arrived yet (it hasn't even been shipped, and I ordered it July 2nd!  What's happened to it??), and I was ready to sew that border on!  Oh, well; it's from the quilt Nathanael's other late grandmother had started, and I am trying to use those fabrics in this quilt.  And it doesn't clash; there's a bonus!
