More Hours of Quilting

 After 3 ½ hours of quilting today, I have just about a row and a half to go before I'm done.

Past Halfway, 'Consider the Heavens'

 I've passed the halfway point on the 'Consider the Heavens' quilt.  Time to stop for the night!

Quilting 'Consider the Heavens'

 I'm quilting the 'Consider the Heavens' quilt, and have nearly reached the center point.  I'm using 40-wt. King Tut variegated thread in 'Sheaves' color.

Backing, and Quilting Begun

 I put together the backing, loaded it, along with the batting and the quilt top, on the quilting frame, and started quilting.  Not much, as it's bedtime.  Here's the backing -- and yes indeedy, it glows in the dark, as advertised!  (Blurry, because the tripod is in the car.  And, bedtime. 😉)

'Consider the Heavens' Quilt Top Done

 The 'Consider the Heavens' quilt top is done.  Now to put together the backing.

6"-Star Blocks Are Done

 All the 6" blocks are done -- four Tall Star blocks, and six 8-Pointed Stars.  That's all the pieced blocks; now I'm ready to cut the non-pieced blocks and the sashing and start putting the quilt top together.

Two Tall Stars, & My Quilting Studio

Two of the four 6" Tall Stars are done, other than removing the paper from the backs of them.

My quilting studio:

The longarm tech came all the way from Fremont to fix my Avanté yesterday, and had it fixed in 15 minutes flat.  Maybe less.

I'm using my Bernina Artista 180 while the Artista 730 is being serviced.  I sure hope it gets fixed soon (and that it can be fixed!), as I need it for embroidering.  It's so much nicer to embroider with the 730 than the 180.

There are the star blocks for the 'Considering the Heavens' quilt, spread out on the quilting table.

Hester took the picture there in Rocky Mountain National Park, and had it printed on canvas.  It was the perfect touch for the nook where we put the maple table. 

My Bernina serger is on the desk on the far right.  You can't see it, as it has a cover on it.

This window looks east; the other in the dormer looks north.
