French Lace Quilt on Back Deck

Here is my customer's French Lace quilt on the back deck in natural lighting.  The wind is ruffling it a bit.  It is now in a box, being shipped back home.

JoeAnn's French Lace Quilt, Completed

I have finished my customer's French Lace & Linen quilt.  Last night I pressed and steamed it.  I couldn't take a picture of it on my back deck yet, because it rained all day today.  Here it is lopped over my quilting frame.  Tomorrow is supposed to be sunny, so I'll take a photo of it in natural light before I ship it back to her.  JoeAnn will put the binding on the quilt, which she made for her sister.

Last of the Quilting on the French Lace Quilt

The quilting is finished on my customer's French lace quilt.  I have now removed the blue markings and the water-soluble stabilizer.  The quilt is now lopped over my frame drying, and tomorrow I'll press and steam it a bit.  I've had troubles with this quilt, but it does look pretty.  When it's all ready to return to the customer, I'll take photos of it -- the whole quilt.  Meanwhile, here are the last couple of rows of quilting:

Stippling the French Lace Quilt

My customer agreed that stippling was what the quilt needed between all the feathers, so that's what I've been doing.  One or two rows to go.

Stippling Added to the French Lace Quilt

The major designs are all on the quilt now.  Not being happy with the excess fullness in the linen areas, I tried a bit of stippling around the large feathers and flowers.  It worked really well, made the feathering show up better, and took out the excess nicely.  (I forgot to remove the blue marking before I took the photo; but it comes out easily.)

I like it now.  If my customer likes it, I’ll get on with it, and could have it done by tomorrow night.

I'd have an easier time if Tiger wasn't entwining himself around my ankles.

I can't imagine why he won't move.  (...scratching his neck, just to hear him purr...)  ;-)

Here he is, right at my feet.

Oops, the camera noise disturbed him.
"Huh?"

"Whaaa---  Oh, it's just you."

Back to sleep again.  And he's grinning, isn't he?!
Boy, oh boy, he's fat.  We should've named him 'Punkin'.

Progress on the Lace Quilt

More quilting is done on my customer's lace quilt.  I still have a few places that need to be fixed; those dreadful tucks just insist on jumping in there; that rayon linen is tricky against the thick batting.  I've added diamonds and half diamonds filled with feathers to the design, and may add echoing to the large feathers to help this quilt lie smoother.

Adding to the Lace Quilt

I find I must add more elements to my customer's French lace quilt, in order to take up excess fullness in the linen area.  So here's the next element in the design:
