 The second row of Playful Kitties has been quilted, and I'm ready to roll the quilt forward.  The last picture is the pencil art by Maxine Taylor that I used for the Kitten Triplets quilting.

 I finished row 1 and got a good start on row 2 of the Playful Kitties quilt.

First Row, Playful Kitties

 Working on the first row, Playful Kitties quilt.  I still need to do backfill behind the big kitten.

Quilting Has Begun on Playful Kitties

 The quilting has begun on Elsie's Playful Kitties quilt.

EQ8 Layout for Nine Kittens

 This is the EQ8 layout for Nine Kittens for granddaughter Juliana, using the kitten blocks that were once attached to the puppy blocks.  But I must finish Elsie's quilt, then three little boys' quilts before starting on Juliana's.  And after Juliana's, there will ten -- ten! -- boys' quilts before I get to granddaughter Emma's!

Tentative Layout for 'Nine Puppies'

 Tentative EQ8 layout for 'Nine Puppies' for grandson Trevor.  It measures 76 ½" x 76 ½".

Puppy & Kitten Blocks Taken Apart

The puppy and kitten blocks have been taken apart, pressed, and photographed.  (There are three of each different print.)  Now to import the puppies into EQ8 and design a quilt for Trevor.

Puppy & Kitten Blocks

 My daughter-in-law Amy found these blocks at a secondhand store.  I'm going to take them apart and use the puppies for grandson Trevor, who will be 8 in February, and the kittens for granddaughter Juliana, who will be 10 in April.  There are duplicates; but that's all right.  Trevor's quilt will come next, after Elsie's 'Playful Kitties' that I'm working on now (or that I will be working on, as soon as the thread arrives; it should be here Monday).

Playful Kitties Loaded

 The Playful Kitties quilt is loaded on the quilting frame.  Now, if only I had the thread I ordered!  

Ah, well.  Tomorrow is our Thanksgiving service and dinner at our church.  When we get home, maybe I will wrap Christmas presents.  Or maybe I will (gasp) start on Trevor's quilt!  (I very rarely -- hardly ever -- start on another quilt before the previous one is finished.)

 The quilt back is all together for the Playful Kitties quilt, and I'm ready to load everything onto my quilting frame.

The Playful Kitties quilt top is done. Here's the top, and here are some of the kitten line drawings I plan to quilt into the blank white areas with the variegated thread I ordered. Now I am putting together the quilt back.
