JoeAnn's Starry Log Cabin, All Quilted

Larry's still working, so I couldn't press him into service as a quilt hanger; but I spread the quilt on the bed and took a picture of it.

It's way too close of quarters in that room to get a good shot, but at least you can see the pattern the blocks make.

One Down, One to Go

JoeAnn's Starry Log Cabin quilt is done! It's so pretty; I just love it.  The quilt measures 94" x 94".  I used Omni 40-wt. thread in 'Butter' on top and Bottom Line 60-wt. thread in 'Lilac' in the bobbin.  The batting is Quilters' Dream wool.

I'll ask Larry for some help getting a full-length shot of it; it's much too windy to try any outdoor pictures, what with the wind gusting over 55 mph. Why, I saw a long-haired Chihuahua go sailing past my upstairs window, followed closely by a woolly mammoth, rumbling its displeasure; with a tumbling Tasmanian sheep hot on their heels!

(I nevah, evah exaggerate.)

I took a little time-out for supper, and now I shall load JoeAnn's Postage Stamp quilt.

Allllmost...

A few more of those swirly feather things and the rest of the bottom border, and this quilt will be all quilted!

Mañana.

Fourth Row, Finished

I've finished Row 4 and started on Row 5, the final row.

In picture #0049, you can see a farmstead through the east window. Across the road from that farmstead is our son Teddy’s place.

My quilting studio used to be our youngest daughter Victoria’s bedroom, before she was married. I would never have painted it that pale grayish lavender (and one wall is a metallic sparkling plum); but I didn’t change it, since it was newly done by Victoria and a couple of her cousins – and now I enjoy it. It’s on our second floor, and has two windows, including a north-facing one in a dormer.

Quilting, After All

I didn't go to Omaha today to visit my brother, because Omaha had a winter weather advisory until 6:00 p.m., with freezing rain and snow making for slippery driving conditions. So I quilted instead.

Gotta hurry to bed, or I'll be falling asleep in Sunday School tomorrow morning, and the ushers with the goads will get me!

(I said that once to Larry's elderly aunt, and she thought I meant it. 😬)
