Two More Top Borders Complete

The next two top borders on The Birds of Colorwash Patch quilt are done. I often take pictures of particular areas of a quilt and include in the picture the rulers I used there, so that when I get to similar areas at the other end of the quilt, I'll know which rulers to use. Second to last picture is my new calendar. 😸

Top Border is Done

... and so is my back.

Outlines and Little Circles

Feathering

The inside-the-arch feathers are done (on the top border, at least).  Yikes, I've gotten spectacularly bad at backtracking during this quilting hiatus!  Somebody send a wrecker!

Now for the arch outlines and the piano-key quilting.

Quilting The Birds of Colorwash Patch

Preliminary arches are done... now for some inside feathers!

Quilt is Loaded

I got the backing pieced, pressed, and loaded... then loaded the batting (a bottom layer of Hobbs Heirloom 80/20 and a top layer of Soft & Bright poly by The Warm Company) and the quilt top. My machine is cleaned, oiled, and threaded. I'm ready to start quilting!
