Quilting Started on Christmas Tree Skirt

I'm 'floating' the top of the Christmas tree skirt (as opposed to rolling it on the front bar), and have started quilting it.  So far, so good.  There's a long ways to go!

I'll do microquilting around the ornament.  When I roll the quilt forward, I'll try to keep it a bit loose around the take-up bar so as not to distort the smocking or ribbon embroidery or beads.

Christmas Tree Skirt, Ready to Be Quilted

The Christmas tree skirt is all put together and ready to be quilted.  I'll give it another pressing first, and then cut the backing and batting.  I forgot to measure it exactly, but it's over 60" in diameter.

Swirling Star, Ready to Be Put Together

This is the middle of the Christmas tree skirt, ready to be put together.  I added another row to one side of each ray.  The rays each measure 28" from tip to tip.
