Sherri's Vintage Harvest Truck Quilt, Finished

The quilting on my friend's Vintage Harvest Truck panel quilt is done.  She made it for her father.  It measures 59" x 79".

I'm using 40-wt. Mettler charcoal thread on top, and 60-wt. Bottom Line medium brown thread in the bobbin. The batting is cotton. The pantograph is called 'Monstera' (that's a beautiful plant, not a scary monster  😄), be Patricia E. Ritter.  It can be found at Urban Elementz.

The brown printed backing has scenes from Nebraska, such as the tallest waterfall, Smith Falls, coneflowers, and deer.

Sherri's Vintage Truck Harvest Quilt

The first two rows are done on my customer's Vintage Truck Harvest quilt, and I'm ready to roll the quilt forward.  Had to take a break for supper.  😉 We're having chicken and dumplings soup, V8 Mango Peach Splash (juice that I thought had no sugar -- but it has corn syrup), and apple crumb pie.

I'm using 40-wt. Mettler charcoal thread on top, and 60-wt. Bottom Line medium brown thread in the bobbin.  The batting is cotton.  The pantograph is called 'Monstera' (that's a beautiful plant, not a scary monster, haha).

Finished Quilting JoeAnn's Postage Stamp Quilt

Tonight I finished quilting JoeAnn's Postage Stamp quilt.  It measures 89" x 105".  It has Quilters' Dream wool batting.  I used 40-wt. white Omni thread on top, and 60-wt. natural white Bottom Line thread in the bobbin.  There are 45.5 hours in the quilting.

The pattern name is Settler's Trail, and it can be purchased at the Primitive Gatherings website.

Sunset, and Last Row of JoeAnn's Postage Stamp Quilt

I was working away on the last row of my customer's Postage Stamp quilt when suddenly I looked up and spotted a beautiful sunset from my north-facing window.  I dashed for my camera.

There's half a row and the bottom half-row to go.

The Quilt Is Growing, I Think!

I got a little over one row done today on JoeAnn's Postage Stamp quilt. I rolled the quilt forward ------ and there's one more row!

I hope this quilt isn’t like the widow’s oil and meal, and just keeps replenishing itself and growing, when I’m not looking. 😅

See the back, there on the take-up bar? It’s always fun to see the design work itself out on the back of a quilt.

Fourth Row, JoeAnn's Postage Stamp Quilt

I'm not quite done with Row 4 of JoeAnn's Postage Stamp quilt, but my back is done, so I’m quitting for the night. This means I probably won’t get done with the quilt tomorrow, after all. But notice that the roll of quilt on the take-up bar is getting thicker!

JoeAnn's Starry Log Cabin Quilt in Natural Lighting

We finally had a lovely, sunshiny day today with the wind only blowing at about ten mph -- a rarity, for middle Nebraska in March.  So I swept (and swept) (and swept some more) the deck and took pictures of my customer's Starry Log Cabin quilt outside in natural lighting.

The quilt measures 94" x 94".  I used Quilters' Dream wool batting, 40-wt. Omni thread in 'Butter' on top, and 60-wt. Bottom Line thread in 'Lilac' in the bobbin.
