Swirling Lone Star Center of Christmas Tree Skirt Ready for Assembly

The diamond rays of the Swirling Lone Star center of the Christmas tree skirt are ready to be put together.  Each diamond is comprised of 45 small diamonds, so the entire Lone Star will have a total of 360 little diamonds in it.  I cut the small diamonds at 2 ½" x 1 ½".  The fabric is satin, taffeta, and brocade.

    1. Thanks for all the nice compliments! :-)

I didn't use a pattern; I just cut the diamonds at 2½" x 1½" and kept adding to the design until it was the size I wanted. The finished length of the longer diamonds must wind up at twice the length of the shorter diamonds.
