Now for the Bottom Half...

I got a little more quilting done this evening on my customer's Wildflower Way quilt. (The missing arcs at the bottom of the Mariner's Compass will be added in after I roll the quilt forward.)

Past the Middle, Wildflower Way

I've passed the midway point in my customer's 'Wildflower Way' quilt. I kept getting interrupted today, and tomorrow I plan to go see my brother in Omaha; but maybe I can get a few hours of quilting in.

LeMoyne Stars in the Wildflower Way Quilt

Today I started working on the central part of my customer's Wildflower Way quilt. I always have big plans of coming home from our evening church service and quilting for a couple of hours; but if we loiter and chat with friends and family, and then go to the grocery store afterwards, by the time we eat a late supper, I generally decide quilting can wait until the next day. So I only got about 3 ½ hours of quilting done today. Maybe I can make up for it tomorrow. Maybe. Here's a Before and After shot of some of the LeMoyne Stars in the quilt.

Crosshatching on Wildflower Way

I only had time to quilt for a couple of hours this evening.  I'm doing crosshatching around the machine embroidered motifs on my customer's quilt, which she has named 'Wildflower Way'.

Hope's Wildflower Way Quilt

Working on a customer's beautiful 'Wildflower Way' quilt.  She asked for 'light custom' quilting.  I'm using one of my new rulers from Julia Quiltoff.  The last few pictures are the machine embroidery that's in the top and bottom border.

Turquoise Split-Blade Pinwheel Quilt

I got the turquoise Split-Blade Pinwheel quilt put together yesterday, except for the borders, which still need to be cut. I'll get back to it after I finish my customer's quilt.

A Split-Blade Pinwheel

Do you ever feel really proud of yourself when, upon running out of fabric, you manage to piece together enough scraps to complete the blocks you need? Look at all those extra seams.

I now have enough blocks for the quilt top and the quilt bag; I need another for the pillow top. Because the pink and the turquoise quilts are for sisters, there must be the same items in the set.

As soon as I lay out the blocks, determine the positioning, and take pictures of it, I will stop with this project and start on a customer's quilt that just arrived this afternoon. It's a beauty! Wait'll you see it.

Oh, and if you're wondering if all those seams show on the front... One shows a bit in the black fabric, but it's not bad. I'll just be sure to use this block in the quilt bag, rather than the quilt top.

More Split-Blade Pinwheel Blocks

Today I put together 16 more Split-Blade Pinwheel blocks, making a total of 28 blocks.  A few more, and I'll be ready to add the sashing.

A Few Blocks for Split-Blade Pinwheel Quilt

Today I put together a dozen blocks for the Split-Blade Pinwheel quilt in turquoise, black, and white, using the pattern I designed in EQ8 to match the pink, black, and white quilt I finished last week.  Another couple dozen blocks to go!  These will be for two young granddaughters, Carolyn and Violet.

The swirly turquoise fabric is left over from dresses I made daughter Victoria (Carolyn and Violet's mother) and her best friend Robin (now her sister-in-law) for our Fourth-of-July picnic in 2015.
